Bike This Weekend Open Thread

We are still here. I think most of the yammering on about bikes is happening over on facebook right now, but maybe when Dean gets back from celebrating being married, things will pick up on this blog.

This weekend is the Revolutionary Ramble, and I’m doing it, so I hope to see you there. Also this weekend, I am riding out to Livingston Mall, which is having a huge pet adoption event, with over 600 pets. I already have a perfectly nice cat, but I want to eat some more food from the vegan truck that was at the Morristown Bike Ride in April.

What else? oh! I have noticed a small trend in Morristown Real Estate listings, that along with the house or condo, they include pictures of bikes on Patriot’s Path or happy people on their bikes on the green. None of these condos have places to put your bikes, but maybe they will follow through if someone is willing to buy. Anyhow, nice that they are pushing Morristown as a somewhat bike friendly town with homes for sale.

Also still taking suggestions for what to show at the bike-in movies this summer! So far, Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, ET, RAD, American Flyers, Triplettes de Belleville, and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid have been suggested. Here’s the bike scene from Butch Cassidy, in case you were wondering why. Keep them coming, and I’ll check out how much it is to show them!

  1. Great bike scene! Looks like some tough movie choices.
Sorry I have been MIA, even on facebook. I hear there was a bike rodeo in Denville yesterday. Anybody go?
