Sustainable Morristown on the Agenda

At tonight’s town council meeting, Sustainable Morristown is on the agenda:

Resolution No. R-77-09
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING PARTICIPATION IN THE
SUSTAINABLE JERSEY MUNICIPAL CERTIFICATION
PROGRAM.

PURPOSE: SELF EXPLANATORY

I believe that Sustainable Morristown is part of the Morristown Partnership at this point, and am told that the town might be putting someone else in charge. I could be wrong! Let’s hope that if that is true, that the town has carefully considered the most thoughtful and informed candidates for the job and understand how Complete Streets will enhance Morristown’s livability (and perhaps property values and downtown business climate).

Check out Sustainable Jersey and how a town gets points for different things. School Programs 10 points (Safe Routes to School?), Complete Streets, 10 points, and more.

I know it’s a bit late, but if you can make this meeting, that would be awesome. The meeting starts at 7:30 at town hall, 200 South Street.
