Bike Morristown Meeting is Tomorrow, Tuesday, June 24

And here’s what’s going to be happening at it!

4. Bicycle Compatible Roadways Map

Origins and Destination Points
Roadways designated by 2007 Bicycle Survey
Other connecting roadways
Select most-compatible of parallel roadways

5. Evaluation of Roadway Bicycle Level of Service (How bicycle-friendly is it?)

Three levels of bike-friendly roadways
Quantitative Criteria
Roadway Width
Parking – frequency of turnover (high, medium, low)
Qualitative Survey of “bicycle friendliness”
Three levels of bicycle experience: Beginner/Intermediate, Intermediate, Advanced
Rate level of bike-friendliness of roadway segments and overall roadway experience: 1, 2, or 3 (high, medium, low)
Identify baseline ratings (Elm St = high; Spring St. = Low)
Identify hazard areas (intersections, grates, roadway debris, etc.)
Survey Development & Implementation
Update quantitative data spreadsheet
Draft survey for Committee Review/Finalize
