Roadways designated by 2007 Bicycle Survey
Other connecting roadways
Select most-compatible of parallel roadways

5. Evaluation of Roadway Bicycle Level of Service (How bicycle-friendly is it?)

Three levels of bike-friendly roadways
Quantitative Criteria
Roadway Width
Parking – frequency of turnover (high, medium, low)
Qualitative Survey of “bicycle friendliness”
Three levels of bicycle experience: Beginner/Intermediate, Intermediate, Advanced
Rate level of bike-friendliness of roadway segments and overall roadway experience: 1, 2, or 3 (high, medium, low)
Identify baseline ratings (Elm St = high; Spring St. = Low)
Identify hazard areas (intersections, grates, roadway debris, etc.)
Survey Development & Implementation
